Eagles sign CB Lavert Hill to the practice squad; announce protected players for Week 14

The Eagles signed cornerback Lavert Hill to the practice squad on Tuesday.

A 5-10, 190-pound rookie out of Michigan, Hill originally signed with the Kansas City Chiefs following the 2020 NFL Draft. He was waived during the final roster cutdown, but returned as a member of the practice squad. Hill was released from the practice squad late last month to make room for former Eagles offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski.

A two-time All-Big Ten selection at Michigan, Hill played in 48 games (38 starts) for the Wolverines. He finished his college career tied for sixth in school history in pass breakups (29). He's also one of just four players in Michigan history to record multiple pick-sixes.

The Eagles also protected four practice squad players for Week 14:

• RB Jordan Howard

• DB Elijah Riley

• CB Kevon Seymour

• LB Rashad Smith
