On Saturday, the Philadelphia Eagles will host two youth football championship games at the NovaCare Complex. At 10 AM, the South Philly Sharks will take on the Wilmington Tigers in the U-10 game and at 11:45 AM the U-8 championship game will take place between the South Philly Sharks and the Woodland Tigers.

Earlier this week, all of the Sharks' field equipment was stolen and as a result they were in jeopardy of not being able to compete in their semifinal games. After hearing about the situation, the Philadelphia Eagles teamed up with the Sports Complex Special Services District to replace the equipment, including pylons, yard markers, line painters and paint. In addition, the Eagles invited the Sharks to play the games at the NovaCare Complex.

The Sharks are a 501c3 non-profit South Philadelphia-based competitive sport, cheerleading and tutoring program for children between the ages of 5 and 15. The goal of the organization is to promote development and cultural enrichment for adolescents in the Philadelphia area.
