Eagles Race Ahead 14-0

Up 7-0 after one quarter, the Eagles raced ahead to a two-touchdown lead thanks to a 42-yard screen pass to Brent Celek on the first play of the second quarter. On the play, quarterback Nick Foles faked right before tossing to Celek, who appeared to be surrounded by Redskins defenders. But the tight end put on the jets and sprinted past the defense, only to be dragged down as he appeared to cross the goal line. The play was originally ruled a touchdown, but was then spotted at the 1-yard-line after further review.

On the ensuing play, LeSean McCoy ran in untouched for a 1-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles a 14-0 lead.

The play to Celek was the Eagles' second play of the day to gain more than 20 yards. The Eagles lead the league with 63 such plays on the season. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @EaglesInsider.
