Eagles promote S Grayland Arnold; waive S Will Parks

The Eagles announced three roster moves on Tuesday.

• Eagles promote S Grayland Arnold from the practice squad

A rookie free agent out of Baylor, Grayland Arnold played in three games earlier this season (Cincinnati, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh). The Eagles elevated Arnold from the practice squad twice before signing him to the active roster on October 10. He was waived on October 13 and brought back to the practice squad two days later. He's been on the field for 43 snaps, all on special teams.

The 5-10, 187-pound Arnold earned second-team All-American and second-team All-Big 12 honors as a redshirt junior in 2019 when he led the Bears with six interceptions. Worked primarily in the slot. Also averaged 12.4 yards on punt returns with one touchdown last season.

• Eagles waive S Will Parks

The Philly native returned home as a free agent acquisition in the 2020 offseason after spending his first four seasons in Denver. Parks was projected to be the third safety and key special teams player before suffering a hamstring injury just before the start of the season that landed him on Injured Reserve.

He made his Eagles debut in the Ravens game and started three games over that span. He totaled 11 tackles in 114 snaps and added another two tackles on special teams.

• Eagles release DE Shareef Miller from the practice squad

The 2019 fourth-round pick returned to the team on the practice squad on October 19. After earning a spot on the 53-man roster for all of his rookie season, the Philadelphia native and former Penn State standout was waived by the Eagles at the end of 2020 Training Camp. He was claimed by the Carolina Panthers where he spent the first three weeks of the regular season on the active roster but didn't appear in a game.
