Eagles Present For Wilt's Historic Game

In South Philadelphia on Friday night, the 76ers will honor the 50th anniversary of Hall of Fame center Wilt Chamberlain's historic 100-point performance against the New York Knicks.

In all of the years since Chamberlain's record night, only one player has come within 20 points of the single-game scoring mark - Kobe Bryant put up 81 points for the Lakers in a game against the Toronto Raptors in 2006.

It turns out the Philadelphia Eagles were present at Hershey Sports Arena for Chamberlain's performance.

Prior to the game between the Knicks and the Philadelphia Warriors, the Eagles played a game of hoops against the Baltimore Colts. Afterwards, the Eagles watched Chamberlain break a different record - the one for the shooting gallery arcade game which was at the stadium. Then, the Eagles watched the most prolific scoring performance in NBA history.
