Eagles Notebook: More Milestones

Here are some news and notes in the wake of Sunday's win over the Washington Redskins ...

Reid's Records … Andy Reid improved his record to 16-9 against the Redskins, including ten wins in their last 12 contests at FedEx field, outscoring Washington by an average of 13.2 points in those wins ... In their last two games against the Redskins, the Eagles have outscored Washington 65-17 in the first half.

Safety First … S Kurt Coleman became the 11th player in team history with three interceptions in a game, and the first since Joe Scarpati on 10/23/66 at NY Giants ... All four of Coleman's career picks have come in Washington … S Nate Allen notched his fourth-career interception (first of 2011). The last time the Eagles registered interceptions from both safeties in the same game was 11/27/08 (Brian Dawkins and Quintin Mikell).

McCoy's McNuggets … RB LeSean McCoy scored his eighth touchdown of the season (sixth rushing) and amassed 126 rushing yards on a career-high 28 carries. It was McCoy's third 100-yard game of the season and the sixth of his career … McCoy has now scored a touchdown in all six games this season, which is tied for the second-longest streak in team history. The last Eagle with a touchdown in six straight games was Ricky Watters in 1995. Steve Van Buren (8 in 1947) holds the team record.

Mac Attack … WR Jeremy Maclin racked up 101 receiving yards, marking his sixth-career 100-yard game. He has at least five catches in each of the last five games, the longest such streak of his career.

Offensive Quick Hits … TE Brent Celek scored his first touchdown of the season … The Eagles have had a 100-yard receiver in five of six games this year … Philadelphia chewed up 38:08 of game clock, which was their third-highest total since 2001, and the most since 11/15/10 at Washington.

Defensive Nuggets … DT Mike Patterson became the fifth Eagles defensive lineman to corral an opposing signal-caller this season after posting his first sack of the year and the 14th of his career … DE Darryl Tapp contributed his second sack of the season … The defense held the Redskins to just 42 rushing yards, their lowest total in their last 10 contests … The last time the Eagles had four or more interceptions in a game was on 9/13/09 at Carolina … Washington converted just one of 10 third-down opportunities (10.0%).

Mike Check … QB Michael Vick threw for 237 yards and a touchdown, while also contributing 54 rushing yards. It is his third-straight game with at least 50 rushing yards. Vick now has 5,002 career rushing yards, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to reach 5,000.
