Eagles Look Ahead To New Season

With the NFL offseason officially underway for the entire league, Eagles players took to Twitter to explain how badly they want to get back to work after watching the Giants hoist the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night.

"Can't wait for next season. Matterfact can't wait to get back with my squad!!!!" quarterback Michael Vick tweeted from his @MikeVick account on Monday.

On Sunday night, Eagles players were simultaneously venting their disgust over seeing their most disliked rival, a team that they beat 17-10 in Week 11, win the title. Tight end Brent Celek and offensive tackle Todd Herremans were both "sick" about the end result, a 21-17 win for the Giants over the Patriots.

Running back LeSean McCoy was in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl festivities. He was honored earlier in the week with the FedEx Ground Player of the Year Award. McCoy certainly didn't want to hear Giants fans bask in the glow of their win.

"On the plane n this fan is talking to me about the giants. I said no disrespect sir I will pray for u. D end," McCoy tweeted from his @CutonDime25 account.

Not all of the players were in dismay over the game's outcome. Center Jamaal Jackson, the team's longest tenured player, offered a voice of reason. The Giants became the first 9-7 team to win the Super Bowl. They were the first team to win the Super Bowl after being outscored in the regular season. And it's not like the Giants had an easy road to Indianapolis.

"Say what u want but u have to respect a team that beats #1 and #2 seeds in the NFC on the road and beat the AFC #1 seed! Congrats Giants," Jackson tweeted from his @CenterStage67 account.
