Eagles-Jaguars Post-Game Notebook

Here are some news and notes from Sunday's 28-3 win over the Jaguars ...

Slick Vick ... QB Michael Vick threw for 291 yards and three touchdown, marking the fourth-highest yardage total of his career. He also added 30 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. It is the first time Vick has ever thrown two 40-plus-yard touchdowns in a game. It is also the first time he has ever thrown for 250-plus yards in back-to-back games, and his first time exceeding a quarterback rating of 100 in three straight ...The last Eagle with a 100-plus rating in three straight games was Jeff Garcia in 2006 ...Vick's 61-yard touchdown pass was the third-longest of his career (including playoffs) ...Vick has attempted 118 consecutive passes without throwing an interception, which is the second-longest streak of his career (143 to start the 2002 season).

Big Play DJ ... WR DeSean Jackson had five catches for 153 yards, marking his second 100-yard game in a row and the ninth of his career. It was also the second-highest yardage total of his career, trailing his career high of 178 (12/13/09 at NYG). His 61-yard touchdown catch was his second of the season and his ninth-career 60-plus yarder.

Sack Attack ... The Eagles compiled six sacks against the Jaguars, including DE Darryl Tapp's first as an Eagle and the first of DT Trevor Laws' and S Nate Allen's careers. DE Trent Cole also added two, marking his 13th-career multi-sack game. Additionally, DE Juqua Parker notched his fourth of the season. Parker has at least one sack in all three games this season, which is the first time he has ever done so in three straight games ...Under Andy Reid, the Eagles own a 25-4-1 record when the defense has five or more sacks. The Eagles have had a sack in 22 consecutive regular season games, trailing only Pittsburgh (27) for the longest streak in the NFL. Philadelphia also has had two or more sacks in each of the last eight contests.

Defensive Nuggets ... The defense surrendered just 51 net passing yards, which is the lowest total by an Eagles opponent since they allowed 21 on 9/23/01 at Seattle. Additionally, the Jaguars converted just five of 17 third downs (29.4%) and were held to three points. Since 1999, Reid's Eagles are 59-14-1 when holding their opponents under 30 percent on third downs and 43-3 when holding their opponents to 10 or fewer points ...CB Asante Samuel notched his first interception of the season and the 36th of his career. Including playoffs, Samuel's teams are 32-4 in games when he does so.

Offensive Quick Hits ... WR Jeremy Maclin caught two touchdowns, and now has four on the season, tying his total from last season. Including playoffs, he has a touchdown in four straight games ...The Eagles have surrendered just one turnover all season ...The Eagles were 2-2 in the red zone today and are now 7-8 (87.5%) on the season.

Birdseed ... The Eagles defeated the Jaguars for the first time ever (1-3 overall), since the team's inception in 1993 ...TE Garrett Mills made his first-career start; RB Joique Bell played in his first NFL game ...P Sav Rocca has landed 78 career punts inside the 20-yard line, passing Tom Hutton (77) for fourth place in team history.
