The Philadelphia Eagles and Bringing Hope Home teamed up once again this holiday season to help out local families in the Greater Philadelphia area who are dealing with cancer.

On Monday, December 16, the Eagles and past Bringing Hope Home beneficiaries wrapped Christmas gifts that were personally bought by the players in attendance. Through Bringing Hope Home's Adopt-A-Family Program, Eagles players selected 10 families earlier in the year and paid their non-medical bills (gas, electric, food, etc.) for the month of December. These families will also be surprised with the wrapped gifts when they are personally delivered to them by Bringing Hope Home just before Christmas.

"Bringing Hope Home does a phenomenal job of making people feel at ease when they're dealing with hardship," said punter Donnie Jones. "Obviously these families are going through a tough time being affected by cancer, so we can take an hour or two out of our day to come here, wrap gifts and help make Christmas special for these families. It's something that means a lot to us."

In addition to Jones, defensive end Vinny Curry, kicker Alex Henery, nose tackle Bennie Logan and center Julian Vandervelde were on hand to show off their gift-wrapping skills.

The Adopt-A-Family Program pairs community supporters with real families who are struggling due to a cancer diagnosis and are in financial need over the holidays. The program allows supporters to fundraise to pay their adopted family's household bills, as well as provide gifts and gift cards to their family.

"To me, I was really thankful that so many of the players came out on a Monday after a road game," said Paul Isenberg, Bringing Hope Home Founder and CEO. "It was a long weekend for them and it was a long day today. I really commend these guys for getting in the car and driving an hour outside the city to help us. They were in great spirits and they couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating."

This is not the first time this season that the Eagles and Bringing Hope Home have formed a winning team. Back in October, Eagles offensive linemen carved and painted pink pumpkins with Bringing Hope Home partner families at the NovaCare Complex.
