Eagles Have Had Success Vs. Nolan

Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg praised the work that Dolphins defensive coordinator Mike Nolan has done in Miami this season.

"They've been good throughout the whole season," Mornhinweg said. "They've got an excellent scheme. Mike Nolan is a terrific coach. He's had defensive success virtually everywhere he's been."

The Dolphins have one of the league's best defenses as they are ranked fifth in points allowed and fifth in rushing yards allowed. Miami has not allowed any team to score more than 20 points in the last seven contests. The pass defense has come alive of late with seven interceptions in their past four games.

There's a good reason that trend could change this Sunday in Miami. Since Mornhinweg took over as the offensive coordinator in 2004, the Eagles have faced a Nolan-coached defense five times and have won each of those contests. In those five games, the offense - not counting two defensive touchdowns - has averaged 30.2 points per contest. In fact, there was only one time when Nolan's defense held the Eagles to under 20 points.

See below for the results of those five wins for the Eagles. Note that Nolan was the head coach in San Francisco and the defensive coordinator for the Ravens and Broncos.
