Eagles, Good Sports Donate Equipment To Local Youth

The Eagles and Good Sports teamed up to provide Children Advancing Towards Success' Pop Warner football team with brand new equipment. Wide receiver Jason Avant, Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders and SWOOP were on-hand to interact with the children as well as distribute the donated helmets and shoulder pads on Tuesday night at Cobbs Creek Park in Philadelphia.

Children Advancing Towards Success (CATS) is a non-profit children's advocacy organization that was created to encourage children to succeed using football and education. Due to the growing popularity of the program, CATS had numerous children interested in playing football but only enough equipment for one team. With the donation from the Eagles and Good Sports, CATS will now be able to suit up an additional 35 children to provide mentoring and support.

Along with providing football teams for children, CATS offers cheerleading squads, a mentoring club and a homework program.
