Eagles-Giants Post-Game Notebook

Here are some news and notes compiled by the Eagles' award-winning media relations department following Sunday's 27-17 win over the Giants ...

Reid's Records ...The Eagles improved their record to 7-3, their best 10-game record since going 9-1 in 2004. They also went 7-3 in 2003 and 2002 ... Head coach Andy Reid registered his 125th career victory, tying Jim Mora, Sr. for 26th place in place in NFL history ... Overall, Reid's record from November on is 66-33-1 (.665) ... Reid won his fifth-straight game against the Giants (including playoffs), which is the Eagles longest winning streak over the Giants since also winning five straight from 11/25/90 to 12/27/92 ... Philadelphia is 8-2 in their last 10 prime time games (3-0 in 2010), and has won their last four on Sunday Night Football.

Pick Off Artist ... CB Asante Samuel intercepted Eli Manning twice, and now has a league-leading seven on the season. He became the fourth player to intercept both Manning brothers in the same season (DeAngelo Hall in 2007, Brandon McDonald in 2008, Antrel Rolle in 2009), and the only player with two against each. Samuel has seven career interceptions against the Manning brothers (including playoffs) ... Since joining the Eagles in 2008, Samuel leads the NFL with 20 thefts ... His teams are 25-0 at home when he records an interception (11-0 in Philadelphia, 14-0 in New England) ... It was his eighth multi-interception game (all wins) ... Samuel also had a fumble recovery, his third takeaway of the night ... With nine picks in 2009 and seven in 2010, Samuel became the third player in franchise history to post back-to-back seasons with at least seven (Bill Bradley in 1971-72 and Don Burroughs in 1961-62).

I'll Take That ...The Eagles five takeaways were their most against the Giants since 10/3/99 at NYG. They now have an NFL-high 26 on the season, and also lead the league with a 15 turnover ratio ... They also became one of just two teams this season (Seattle Seahawks) to have two games with five-or-more takeaways (five on 10/10/10 at SF) ... The Eagles now have at least one interception in 13 consecutive contests, the longest streak in the NFL and their longest streak since going 16 straight from 11/6/88 to 11/5/89.

Vicktory ... QB Michael Vick has won all five games that he has started and finished this season ... Vick scored a rushing touchdown in three straight games for the first time in his career. According to Stats, Inc., he is now tied with Donovan McNabb for 15th place among NFL quarterbacks with 28 career rushing touchdowns ... He also tied a career high with 28 completions and has attempted 220 consecutive passes without throwing an interception, which is the longest streak of his career.

Real McCoy ... RB LeSean McCoy notched his second-career 100-yard game, ripping off 111 yards on 14 carries, including a go-ahead, 50-yard touchdown scamper in the fourth quarter, the second-longest of his career ... With 1,361 career rushing yards, McCoy passed Steve Van Buren (1,276) for the second-best rushing total by an Eagle in his first two NFL seasons. He trails Wilbert Montgomery (1,403) for the team record ... McCoy has set career highs this season in all major rushing and receiving categories.

The Run Stops Here ...The defense held the Giants to just 61 yards on 19 carries, and Ahmad Bradshaw—the league's third-leading rusher entering the game—to his lowest rushing output (29 yards on 12 carries) of the season. The Giants entered the game as the fifth-ranked rushing offense ... The Eagles are one of just four teams who have not allowed a 100-yard rusher all season (San Francisco, NY Jets, Pittsburgh) ... Bradshaw joins a long list of running backs to be held in check by Philadelphia's defense, including Frank Gore (52 yards), Michael Turner (50 yards), and Chris Johnson (66 yards).

Offensive Quick Hits ... The offense orchestrated a season-long 13-play, 7:09 drive that culminated in a touchdown. It was their longest touchdown of the season in terms of plays and time. They also had an 8:22 drive that resulted in a field goal to open the second half ... WR Jeremy Maclin registered a career-high nine receptions for 120 yards. It was his fourth-career 100-yard game including playoffs.

Defensive Nuggets ... DE Brandon Graham ripped the ball loose from RB Ahmad Bradshaw for his second forced fumble of the season, which was recovered by Samuel led to an Eagles field goal ... LB Stewart Bradley iced the game with his first interception of the season. He now has a sack and interception in all three seasons he has played.

Birdseed ...WR DeSean Jackson (984) passed Bosh Pritchard (975) on the team's all-time punt return yardage list ... K David Akers connected on four of five field goal attempts, ending his streak at 12 consecutive attempts without a miss, the seventh such streak of his career. It was his 17th career four-field-goal game (including playoffs), and his third this season.
