Eagles elevate RB Jordan Howard and DT Raequan Williams

The Eagles elevated running back Jordan Howard and defensive tackle Raequan Williams from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

If active, Howard will make his 2020 Eagles debut after signing to the practice squad on November 23. He changed his jersey number this week from 41 to 28. If you recall, Howard was critical to the Thursday night win over the Packers in Week 4 of the 2019 season when he had 115 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns in a 34-27 victory, Green Bay's only home loss of the year.

The 6-0, 224-pound Howard was the lead back for the first half of the 2019 season for the Eagles. He gained 525 rushing yards and scored six touchdowns before a shoulder injury suffered in the ninth game of the season essentially ended his campaign. Following the 2019 season, Howard signed with the Miami Dolphins where he played in five games before being waived. He scored four touchdowns with the Dolphins.

Raequan Williams, a rookie free agent out of Michigan State, was called up from the practice squad for the win over the Cowboys on November 1. The 6-4, 305-pound Williams played 16 snaps on defense in his NFL debut. The Eagles have consistently called up a defensive tackle every week since the loss of Hassan Ridgeway to a season-ending biceps injury in the October 22 win over the Giants.
