Linebacker Ben VanSumeren has been elevated from the practice squad for tonight's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The undrafted rookie made his NFL debut in Week 9 when the Eagles beat the Cowboys. VanSumeren saw 10 snaps on special teams during the game.

The 23-year-old has spent the majority of the season on the practice squad after leading the NFL with 26 tackles in the preseason.

VanSumeren will provide added depth at the linebacker spot after the team placed linebacker Nakobe Dean on Injured Reserve on November 16. Dean suffered a foot injury in the win over the Cowboys.

The Eagles have also ruled out defensive end Derek Barnett (personal reasons), safety Justin Evans (knee), and tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) for tonight's game. The remaining inactives will be announced at 6:45 PM.
