Eagles Announce Scouting Staff

The Philadelphia Eagles announce the following hires and changes in the personnel department:

Marty Barrett, Senior Scout
After spending the previous 18 seasons with the Chicago Bears, Marty Barrett joins the Eagles as a senior scout during the 2015 offseason. He most recently served as the Bears' director of college scouting from 2012-14. Barrett began his career with the New Orleans Saints as a west coast regional scout from 1995-97 before joining the Chicago personnel department. Prior to his scouting career, Barrett was an assistant to the Athletic Director/ Football Operations at Rutgers University from 1991-95 after serving as a graduate assistant/defensive backs for the Scarlet Knights for one season. From 1986-89, Barrett coached the wide receivers and running backs at his alma mater, the University of Buffalo. A three-year letterman with the Bulls, Barrett established 14 records while in college and was inducted into the school's hall of fame in 1989.

Mike Bradway, Southwest Area Scout
Mike Bradway enters his eighth season with the Eagles and his first as the team's southwest area scout. During his tenure with the Eagles, Bradway has held several positions including assistant director of college scouting (2014), regional scout (2011-13), college scouting coordinator (2010) and college scouting assistant (2008-09). A former tight end at Villanova University, Bradway played four years for the Wildcats before graduating in 2008 with a degree in sociology.

Trey Brown, Assistant Director of College Scouting
After joining the Eagles as a west coast area scout in 2013, Trey Brown enters his first season as the team's assistant director of college scouting. In his new role, Brown will assist Ed Marynowitz in the management of Philadelphia's college scouting department. Before arriving in Philadelphia, Brown spent three seasons with the New England Patriots, holding the position of west coast area scout from 2011-12 after one season as a scouting assistant with the Patriots in 2010. Prior to joining the Patriots, Brown was signed by the Chicago Bears in 2008 as a rookie free agent cornerback out of UCLA and played one season with the New York Sentinels of the UFL in 2009.

Louis Clark, Senior Director of Pro Personnel
Louis Clark enters his third year with the Eagles and his first as the team's senior director of pro personnel. In his new role, Clark will coordinate all aspects of the pro scouting department, including preparation for the free agency signing period, advance scouting of upcoming opponents, management of the NFL waiver wire and evaluation of all players in the NFL and other professional football leagues. Clark originally joined the Eagles in 2013 as a pro scout after previously serving as the director of pro personnel for the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he spent 16 seasons in the team's personnel department. A native of Tupelo, MS, Clark attended Mississippi State where he played wide receiver from 1983-86 before embarking on a seven-year NFL career, including six seasons with the Seahawks and one with the Packers.

Michael Davis, Personnel Executive
Michael Davis is in his third year with the Eagles and his first in the position of personnel executive after spending the previous two seasons as a midwest area scout. In his new role, Davis will oversee the scouting of top collegiate prospects and assist in pro personnel operations, while holding other administrative functions.  Prior to joining the Eagles, Davis spent the previous 16 seasons with the New York Jets, most recently as the team's assistant director of college scouting. A member of the Virginia State University Athletic Hall of Fame, Davis was an all-conference receiver for the Trojans and began his coaching career at his alma mater, spending nine years as the team's wide receivers and special teams coach.

David Hinson, Midwest Area Scout
Carrying 15 years of NFL scouting experience, David Hinson joins the Eagles as the team's midwest area scout. Hinson arrives in Philadelphia after two seasons with the New York Jets, where he served as a college area scout. He has also held stints with the Cleveland Browns (2009-12), New Orleans Saints (2005-08) and Buffalo Bills (2000-04). A tailback during his collegiate career at the University of Buffalo, Hinson earned his bachelor's degree in business management.

Dwayne Joseph, Director of Pro Scouting
Dwayne Joseph joins the Eagles after spending the previous three years with the Chicago Bears, most recently as the Bears' associate director of pro personnel (2013-14). As director of pro scouting, Joseph will assist in the coordination of free agency preparation, advance scouting, waiver wire management and scouting of players in the NFL and other professional leagues. During the 2015 offseason, he represented the Bears at the NFL Career Development Symposium for coaches and front office personnel. Prior to his most recent stint with the Bears, Joseph worked as a pro scout for the Miami Dolphins from 2004-06 and from 2008-11. In 2007, he served as the Dolphins assistant director of pro personnel. He began his post-playing career in 1998 as the Bears coordinator of player programs. After serving in that role from 1998-2001, Joseph was promoted to director of player development and worked in that capacity until 2004. A four-year letterman at Syracuse, Joseph signed with the Bears in 1994 as an undrafted free agent cornerback and appeared in 16 career games in Chicago with one start and recorded 42 tackles and an interception.

Ryan Myers, Pro/College Scout
Entering his third season with the Eagles, Ryan Myers was named pro/college scout during the 2015 offseason. Myers will continue scouting the northeast region at the collegiate level in addition to other pro scouting responsibilities. Myers was named the team's northeast regional scout in 2014 after working with the Eagles as a pro scout in 2013. He spent seven seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (2005-11) in various roles, including pro personnel scout. He also worked as a scout with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts and the UFL's Sacramento Mountain Lions. Myers also served as the director of player personnel for the Kansas City Command of the AFL. A native of Santa Cruz, CA, Myers earned his degree from San Jose State in recreation with an emphasis in leadership and administration.

Chris Shea, Director of Scouting Administration/Strategic Management
After spending seven seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Chris Shea joins the Eagles scouting staff as the team's director of scouting administration/strategic management. In his role, Shea will assist in the day-to-day operations of the scouting department, work in research and analytics and provide support in both pro and college scouting, while aiding in other administrative duties. Most recently, Shea was the assistant director of pro scouting with the Dolphins (2011-14) after holding roles in the team's player personnel department during his first three seasons with the team (2008-10). Prior to joining the Dolphins, Shea spent 17 years working in various capacities in football, including with the NFL's Management Council, the NFL Officiating Department, the Dallas Cowboys as a scouting consultant, the New York Jets as a pro personnel assistant and the Carolina Panthers as an operations/equipment intern. Before entering the NFL, Shea also worked at the collegiate level at Boston College (1992-96, 98-00) and Harvard (1997-98).

In addition to his football experience, Shea was employed as a law clerk at the New York law firm of Colleran, O'Hara and Mills and as a Temporary Corrections Officer in Middlesex County (MA) Sheriff's Department after earning his J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law.

Other additions to the scouting staff include scouting assistants Phil Bhaya, Tom Hayden and John Syty, data research coordinator David Giuliani and assistant to player personnel Carolyn DeLisi.
