The Eagles continue to reshape the offensive line and stockpile future draft capital. On Wednesday, the team announced that it has agreed to trade center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick, pending a physical.
Philadelphia is lined up to have 16 draft picks over the next two years (before factoring in compensatory selections), including two first-round and two second-round picks in the 2028 NFL Draft.
A second-round pick in 2022 out of Nebraska, Jurgens was the center for the Super Bowl LIX Championship team in 2024, a historic unit that blocked for running back Saquon Barkley's record-setting 2,504 rushing yards (most by any NFL player in a single season all time combining both regular season and playoffs) and the most rushing yards by any team (3,866).
Jurgens became a starter at right guard in his second season before taking over center following future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce's retirement. Despite the massive shoes to fill, Jurgens became the youngest Eagles center to earn Pro Bowl honors since 1953 in the Super Bowl season. Jurgens followed that up with another trip to the Pro Bowl following the 2025 campaign, one in which he helped the Eagles capture the NFC East title in consecutive seasons, becoming the first team to do so since the Eagles from 2001-04.
Following the season-opening win over Washington, Jurgens moved from center over to left guard after Landon Dickerson was placed on Injured Reserve. Drew Kendall took over at center for Jurgens. With Dickerson still on Injured Reserve, the Eagles have several options to reshuffle the offensive line with guards Willie Lampkin and Micah Morris ready to fill in.
