The Eagles have acquired a new student to enroll at Stoutland University.

On Wednesday, shortly after the start of the 2025 League Year, the Eagles and the Texans agreed to a trade that will send safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a 2026 sixth-round pick to Houston and in return, the Eagles receive offensive lineman Kenyon Green and a 2025 fifth-round pick.

Gardner-Johnson tied a career high with six interceptions for the Super Bowl Champions this past season and recorded his first interception return for a touchdown against Dallas in the game that clinched the NFC East title.

Here's what you need to know about the new Eagles' offensive lineman:

• Green was the 15th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. He will be entering his fourth NFL season.

• The 6-foot-4, 325-pound Green turns just 24 years old on Saturday, March 15.

• From Humble, Texas, Green was a first-team AP All-America selection in his final season at Texas A&M. He was named the team's Offensive MVP and was the recipient of the Aggies' Leadership Award as well. He played four of the five offensive line positions during his time at A&M.

• Started 14 games at left guard for the Texans as a rookie in 2022. Missed all of 2023 due to injury. Returned to the starting lineup in 2024, but another injury forced him to miss five games.
