Eagles-49ers Post-Game Notebook

Here are some news and notes compiled by the Eagles media relations department following Sunday night's 27-24 win over the 49ers ...

Kolb Comes Through ... QB Kevin Kolb connected on each of his first nine pass attempts for 92 yards and a touchdown, en route to 253 yards on 21 of 31 passing and a quarterback rating of 103.3 ...It was Kolb's second-highest passer rating, his second-highest completion percentage (67.7%) and the third-highest yardage output of his career. He also had a career-long 19-yard rush on third-and-18.

Forcing the Issue... The Eagles forced five takeaways, including three forced fumbles (LB Moise Fokou, LB Ernie Sims, and DE Brandon Graham). In the 4th quarter, Graham sacked and knocked the ball loose from 49ers QB Alex Smith, which led to a 52-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by S Quintin Mikell. It was the first touchdown of Mikell's career ...The Eagles are 26-5 under Andy Reid when scoring a defensive touchdown, which they have done in three straight games at Candlestick Park (DT Mike Patterson – 98-yard fumble return on 9/24/06; DE Juqua Parker – 55-yard interception return on 10/12/08) ...It was just the second time in 49ers RB Frank Gore's career that he has lost two fumbles in the same game (9/7/08 vs. Arizona).

McCoy's McNuggets ... While playing with a broken rib, RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 92 yards, added 46 receiving yards and scored his fifth rushing touchdown of the season, surpassing his total from a year ago. His 138 scrimmage yards was the second-highest output of his career, after posting a career-high 174 last week against Washington. Overall, it was his fifth time surpassing 100 scrimmage yards, and his first time doing so in consecutive games ...McCoy has averaged at least 4.9-plus yards per carry in four of five games this season.

Sack Attack ... DT Antonio Dixon notched his second sack of his career and his first this season, extending Philadelphia's streak to 24 consecutive games with at least one sack, which is the second-longest in the NFL (Pittsburgh – 28) and the longest by an Eagles team since a 30-game streak from 9/14/03 to 12/27/04.

Offensive Quick Hits ... The Eagles scored a touchdown on their opening drive for the second time this year. Since 2000, the Eagles are 34-9 when doing so ...TE Brent Celek caught his 12th career touchdown, and has scored in back-to-back games ...WR Chad Hall recorded his first reception in his first NFL game.

Defensive Nuggets ... On the ensuing possessions following the Eagles first two scoring drives, the defense forced a turnover, including Fokou's first-career forced fumble, which was recovered by CB Joselio Hanson and CB Dimitri Patterson's second-career interception (first as an Eagle) ...CB Trevard Lindley notched his first-career interception, which sealed a victory for the Eagles, who have forced 12 turnovers in their last three games against the 49ers ...Overall, the Eagles amassed five takeaways on defense, their highest total since forcing seven against Carolina on 9/13/09.

Records Under Reid ... The Eagles have won 21 straight games when leading at half, which is the longest current streak in the NFL. Since 1999, the Eagles own an 89-14 record when doing so. They also own an 89-23 when scoring 20 points or more points ...Andy Reid improved his record to 6-1 against the 49ers and has now won six straight against the NFC West.
