On Sunday afternoon, the Eagles battled their way to a hard-fought 31-21 road victory over the Houston Texans. The Eagles overcame key injuries to their offensive and defensive leaders, but at the end of the day, they found themselves alone atop the NFC East standings.

A Cody Parkey 45-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter put the Eagles up by three at intermission, and after a crucial missed field goal by Houston's Randy Bullock, the Eagles ran their way to the first score of the second half. Sanchez And Maclin Seal The Victory

The Texans hung around in the fourth quarter thanks to a touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to DeAndre Hopkins. The Eagles answered right back with a long 15-play drive, on which they chewed up eight minutes of game time. Most importantly, the Eagles were able to put seven more points on the board, as Sanchez rolled out and found Maclin once again for an eight-yard touchdown, cementing the Eagles sixth victory of the season …
