DeSean Expects More In '09

DeSean Jackson reported to the dorms at Lehigh University for training camp around 3:30 PM on Wednesday and briefly spoke to reporters.

On Jeremy Maclin not being in camp: "You know, it would have definitely been great for him to go through the past couple of days with the rookies and selected vets, but his situation is his situation."

On the importance of the first few days of training camp for a rookie from his experience: "The first four days are, they're huge. Just to get here with Donovan (McNabb), he comes in early too, to get that relationship and build that bond early before everybody else and all those vets get here is a huge advantage to have, but it is what it is."

On his goals for the upcoming season: "My goals this year from last year are just to start off on the same track, just doing everything I can to help this team out with the same success that I did last year. This year is my second year, so the experience that I had from the first year to this year, I expect a lot more of myself."

On the most difficult adjustment from college to the pros for a rookie: "In college, when you're the best of the best, you don't really have to push yourself to the limit. Getting to the NFL, everybody is just as talented and has the same type of skills you have, so working on putting in the work and coming in every day and actually working on something that's what you have to do to take your game to the next level."
