It's impossible to ignore what Darius Cooper has been doing on the field. His four receiving touchdowns through five weeks of the 2026 NFL season rank fourth in the league.
In Week 2, Cooper caught the game-winning touchdown against the Titans near the back of the end zone. He put on a show in Week 4 against the Rams, with the first of his two touchdowns coming off a spectacular effort over an unsuspecting defensive back.
Cooper continued his form against the Jaguars in London. Unlike his previous touchdown catches that were in the end zone, Cooper caught the ball 22 yards down the field after beating his defender off the line, cut inward, and ran 40 yards to the end zone.
"It was kind of a missile because (Jalen Hurts) knew that the safety was coming over the top," Cooper said of his 62-yard catch-and-run. "I saw the ball coming, but I also saw the safety coming my way as well."
Still, Cooper was able to bring it in. You could say that the former Tarleton State Texan has been making crucial catches on the field for the Eagles – which is on brand as the Eagles are promoting the NFL's Crucial Catch initiative, raising awareness for early cancer detection, ahead of the Week 6 matchup against the Panthers. Earlier this week, Will Shipley, Kenny Moore II, and Tanner McKee visited childhood cancer patients for Crucial Catch, something Cooper has done before.
"It's so important because of the impact and the influence that we have, we just don't know how much that touched the families of the patients, the patients," Cooper said. "Just seeing their faces and seeing how happy they were, it made me happy. It's a good feeling because it's like we both get something out of it at the end of the day ... it's just a blessing to be a part of that."
With all the headlines about his play, it's easy to miss what Cooper has been doing in the community. Every Tuesday throughout the NFL season, the Eagles host or take part in a community event.
Cooper has already been part of three of these "Community Tuesday" activities and it is only Week 6.
During the NFL season, the Eagles host events in the community featuring players, Eagles Cheerleaders, SWOOP, and more. Check out photos of Eagles in the Community so far this season!

Ahead of Week 2, Cooper presented new jerseys for Special Olympics Pennsylvania's local unified flag football team. A few days before his two-touchdown performance against the Rams, Cooper went to Olney High School to take part in a CPR training session with students.
"It was awesome. Had a great time at the high school," Cooper said of spending the day with the Olney students. "I was CPR certified when I was in college, but of course I'm not certified anymore. So, it was cool to learn what that feels like again, because you never know when you may need it."
Most recently, Cooper attended a Positive Coaching Alliance workshop with high school girls flag football players from Delaware.
"Girls flag football has been growing over the past couple of years and it's so exciting for them, exciting for me to be able to have fun with them at the workshop that we did. And it was a pretty cool moment," Cooper said.
This is nothing new for Cooper, who was named the 2025 Eagles Community Offensive Player of the Year as a rookie. Having already established himself as a key contributor on special teams, he is now taking on an expanded role within the offense to help the Eagles - all while continuing to make a lasting impact in the community.
"God put us in this position with a lot of influence and a lot of impact to the world and our job is to serve others. Serve others. Got to give it back. That's what it's about," Cooper said. "The community work is just as important as what I do on the field, what we do on the field.
"That's what it's all about, man. Just pouring into the youth, pouring into people and need, just pouring into people in general and building relationships. That makes us better at the end of the day as well. But I think it's very important. It's a very important thing with the influence and impact that we have because we are blessed to play in this league."
