Curry Active Vs. Panthers

It's been several weeks in the making, but rookie defensive end Vinny Curry is officially active for Monday night's game. This game is the first time the second-round pick out of Marshall will suit up in a regular season game. Curry was an Eagles fan before being drafted by the team in April, and will have a chance to show what he can do on a primetime stage.

Quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy were both ruled out Friday as they recover from concussions. Starting for them will be rookies Nick Foles and Bryce Brown. Also ruled out during the week were wide receiver Jason Avant (hamstring) and running back Chris Polk (toe). Wide receiver Greg Salas, who was claimed off waivers from the Patriots late last week, is also inactive.

Rounding out the Eagles' inactives are defensive end Philip Hunt and offensive lineman Nate Menkin.

Out for the Panthers are: defensive end Antwan Applewhite, tackle Bruce Campbell, safety DJ Campbell, quarterback Jimmy Clausen, cornerback James Dockery, wide receiver David Gettis and linebacker Jason Williams.
