Earlier this week, the Eagles basketball team stormed out to 24-0 lead and cruised to a big win in front of a passionate crowd at Hamburg (Pa.) High School. DeSean Jackson not only scored 23 points for the Eagles to lead the team in the 5th annual "Battle of the Birds," but also showed his charitable side, donating 40 points to the hometown Hawks to keep the game close until the final seconds.
LeSean McCoy poured in 20 points (including four 3-point shots) to go along with four steals and three rebounds in his Eagles debut. Jeremy Maclin added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, and tight end Brent Celek chipped in 7 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Big King Dunlap swatted away 10 shots for the Eagles and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Quintin Demps contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds. Todd Herremans led the team with 12 rebounds and netted four points.
