Celek, Patterson Out For Thursday

The Eagles have already ruled out tight end Brent Celek and defensive tackle Mike Patterson for Thursday night's showdown with Cincinnati.

Celek suffered a concussion on the first play of Sunday's win over Tampa Bay when he was tackled by linebacker Lavonte David. Clay Harbor will start in his place. The Eagles do not have a third tight end on the active roster, so they would have to make a roster move in order to add one in time for the game.

Patterson missed the trip to Tampa Bay after he was hospitalized with viral pneumonia. The team said that he has been released from the hospital.

Great news for quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy as they both passed the baseline ImPACT test for their concussions. Vick, however, was sent home from the NovaCare Complex on Monday due to an illness not related to the concussion. Vick and McCoy are now allowed to return to practice, but must be cleared by an independent neurologist before they can play in a game.

The team held a walkthrough on Monday. If a full practice was held, Vick and McCoy would have been listed as non-participants.

Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (neck, quad), safety Kurt Coleman (chest), wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (groin) and guard Evan Mathis (ankle) would have been limited.

Strong safety Nate Allen (shoulder), fullback Stanley Havili (ankle), linebacker Mychal Kendricks (shoulder), running back Chris Polk (toe) and center Dallas Reynolds (ankle) all would be full participants.

The Eagles have a full practice on Tuesday before a walkthrough Wednesday to get prepared for Thursday's game.
