CB Patterson Undergoes Hand Surgery

The Eagles announced today that cornerback Dimitri Patterson underwent surgery to repair a third metacarpal fracture in his left hand. The surgery was performed by Dr. John Taras in Philadelphia.

Patterson suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints when he was on special teams. Patterson is one of the better special teams players on the Eagles, and is a gunner in punt coverage.

Heach coach Andy Reid said during his Monday morning press conference that Patterson will "be out for this next coming game (against the Chiefs)."
