Brandon Boykin Has Bigger Goals For 2014

Cornerback Brandon Boykin had a breakout season in 2013. He led the team and was tied for second in the league with six interceptions even though he was on the field for only 51 percent of the defensive snaps. Boykin's picks weren't of the fluff, stat-filler variety either. Four of them came in the fourth quarter and two sealed victories including the NFC East title-clinching interception at Dallas.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Boykin enters his third NFL season and wants to build upon the strong foundation he laid last season.

"I think I'll be even better than last year. I'm expecting to be," Boykin said during a one-on-one interview with Dave Spadaro. "That's the goal."

The 23-year-old Boykin studied his game film from last season and saw a slight drop-off in his technique as the season progressed. He said that the Organized Team Activities, which kicked off on Tuesday at the NovaCare Complex, provide the perfect opportunity to work on those minute details. Boykin has also taken advantage of the offseason to analyze the tendencies of the receivers whom he'll line up across from this season.

Will Boykin remain in the slot or be moved to outside in 2014? How is Boykin so good in late-game situations? Watch the entire interview above to find out.
