Bills vs. Eagles Injury Report

Lane Johnson
Lane Johnson

The Eagles announced just after noon on Sunday that All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson has been added to the injury report as questionable with a groin injury.

Johnson's availability looms large as the Buffalo Bills have an outstanding defensive front, tallying the second-most sacks in the league entering today's games with 39 on the year.

Stay tuned as the inactives for today's game with the Bills will be announced at 2:55 PM.

Friday's Injury Report

The Eagles held their final practice before Sunday's showdown with the Bills.

The Eagles will be without four players in Week 12 due to injury. On the offensive side of the ball, tight ends Grant Calcaterra (ankle) and Dallas Goedert (forearm) did not practice this week and will not play. On the defensive side of the ball, safety Justin Evans (knee) and defensive tackle Milton Williams (concussion) did not practice and will be out against the Bills.

Evans is still working his way back from the Injured Reserve list and currently does not count against the 53-man roster.

Wide receiver Quez Watkins (hamstring), who is also on Injured Reserve, had his 21-day practice window opened earlier this week. The fourth-year pro was a limited participant at practice this week and is questionable for Sunday's game. The Eagles will have to make a roster move in order to add him to the active roster.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown (thigh) and running back D'Andre Swift (ankle) were full participants during Friday's practice. The two offensive playmakers have no game status designations for Sunday.

Wide receiver Julio Jones (knee) also has no game status designation. The veteran would have been a limited participant at Wednesday's practice but was a full participant on Thursday and Friday.

Another wide receiver, DeVonta Smith (knee), was a late addition to the injury report on Friday. However, he has no designation and will play against the Bills.

Defensive end Derek Barnett was on the injury report earlier this week, but the team announced earlier today that the seven-year veteran had been waived

Thanksgiving Injury Report

The Eagles held a full practice on Thanksgiving ahead of Sunday's showdown with the Buffalo Bills.

The only difference from Wednesday's estimated report, as the team held a walkthrough, is that wide receiver Julio Jones (knee) was a full participant.

Five players did not practice on Thursday: defensive end Derek Barnett (personal reasons), tight end Grant Calcaterra (ankle), safety Justin Evans (knee), tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm), and defensive tackle Milton Williams (concussion).

Three offensive players were limited on Thanksgiving: wide receiver A.J. Brown (thigh), running back D'Andre Swift (ankle), and wide receiver Quez Watkins (hamstring).

Evans and Watkins are on Injured Reserve, operating within their 21-day practice windows. The Eagles will have to make roster moves to open space for them when they are ready to play.

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Eagles held a walkthrough on Wednesday, so their initial injury report is an estimation.

Defensive end Derek Barnett is still dealing with a personal matter that kept him out of Monday's game in Kansas City. Barnett did not participate in today's walkthrough.

Tight ends Dallas Goedert (forearm) and Grant Calcaterra (ankle) would not have practiced on Wednesday. Goedert is out for an unknown period of time after fracturing his forearm in the team's Week 9 win over the Cowboys. Calcaterra suffered an ankle injury in Monday's win, forcing him to leave the game in the third quarter.

Defensive tackle Milton Williams (concussion) was also forced to leave Monday's game. Williams has entered the NFL's concussion protocol and would not have participated in practice.

Safety Justin Evans (knee), who had his 21-day practice window opened early last week, would not have practiced today. Evans has not played since Week 5 but is working his way back from the Injured Reserve list.

Today, the Eagles opened wide receiver Quez Watkins' (hamstring) 21-day practice window, designating him for a return from the Injured Reserve list. The receiver would have been a limited participant during today's practice.

Wide receivers A.J. Brown (thigh) and Julio Jones (knee), along with running back D'Andre Swift (ankle), all would have been limited for practice.
