Babin Finds Small Revenge Vs. Seahawks

SEATTLE –Jason Babin promised that he would show the Seattle Seahawks franchise that he was still upset about the way he was treated during his two-year stint with the team in 2005 and 2006. Though the outcome was certainly not what Babin and the Eagles expected, the Pro Bowl defensive end did his part, notching 2.0 sacks against his former team, bringing his season total to 12.0.

Only Babin and DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys have had at least 12 sacks in each of the last two seasons.

In Babin's two-year stint with the Seahawks, he was only activated for four total games. Babin has said that then-Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren let him know that he never wanted Babin on the team. It's one of many slights that Babin has used for motivation in resurrecting his career over the past two seasons.

Despite the obviously disappointing outcome, Babin said that he found some small solace in the performance of the defensive line, which sacked Tarvaris Jackson three times – Trent Cole notched the third sack.

"I feel a little better about some of the hits that we put on them," said Babin after the game. "It got to be a pretty physical game. If you want to bring any silver lining, the guys on the defensive line were bringing some hits."
