Andre Dillard will miss 2020 season with biceps injury

Head Coach Doug Pederson told reporters on Saturday morning that left tackle Andre Dillard will miss the 2020 season with a biceps injury and eventually be placed on Injured Reserve. The injury was incurred during one-on-one drills on Thursday.

"It's unfortunate. He had a tremendous offseason. He had a really good camp for us, coming in healthy, strong," Pederson said of Dillard. "He'll get better. He'll heal from this and be ready to go."

Pederson said that the team has not yet determined who will start at left tackle. Veteran Jason Peters is in the mix to move from right guard back to the spot he has manned for the Eagles since the 2009 campaign. Pederson noted that the team will also look at several young players including Jack Driscoll, Jordan Mailata, and Matt Pryor. A veteran could also be signed.

"At some point, we've got to trust our players," Pederson said. "As coaches, we trust our guys and it's our job to coach them up and get them prepared to help them, not only in practice but in game situations and that's what we're going to do."
