Addison Bay will have female Eagles fans elevating their gameday fashion

The collaboration between the team and the Philadelphia-based fashion company is now available, just in time for the start of the season.

Marguerite Adzick arrived at a crossroads in 2018.

She was thriving in a corporate marketing job with the fashion company, Lilly Pulitzer. She was also pregnant with her first child. By all accounts, Adzick had everything.

But she had an idea that she had been sitting on for almost two years. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, she recognized a striking absence in the retail space. There were very few options for women who wanted, as Adzick puts it, "activewear for anywhere" – fashion-forward options for girls on the go.

Adzick knew that if she didn't act now, she wouldn't once her daughter, Annie, was born. She dreaded the thought of not only letting the idea go to waste, but – even worse – watching someone else make it a reality.

The Penn Charter grad and former University of Virginia lacrosse player did the only thing she knew – she hired a brilliant team and went to work. She left Lilly Pulitzer six months pregnant and, in September 2018, launched Addison Bay. At the time, Adzick lived on Addison Street in Philadelphia, and she loved swimming in Avalon, New Jersey, hence the Bay part.

Eight years later, female Eagles fans will benefit from the highly successful gamble.

The team has collaborated with Addison Bay on an exclusive activewear line available now at the Eagles Pro Shops, AddisonBay.com, and Fanatics. To celebrate the launch, fans are invited to attend an exclusive Addison Bay event at the Lincoln Financial Field Pro Shop this Thursday, August 27 from 4-7 PM, where guests will enjoy photo booths, light refreshments, giveaways, and more.

The launch of this clothing line – which features a variety of modern apparel pieces, including varsity quarter zips, tanks, leggings, seamed flounce skorts, cardigan sweatshirts, Panama dresses, and more – has been in the making for almost a year. Adzick, who was the Philadelphia Eagles Fan of the Year in 2004 as a teenager, admits she's an "old-school Kelly Green girl," so the wardrobe has a nice mix of items in the current Midnight Green and the classic Kelly Green colors, which are paired together with Addison Bay's trademark stripes. It shouldn't come as a surprise then that Adzick's favorite piece is a Kelly Green Abbott Cardigan Sweatshirt.

"I wanted to make sure we have something that's elevated and polished for the female fan to be able to wear all day, but also be able to support her team – the best team in the entire world! I feel like that was really what we were trying to solve," Adzick said. "It's just going to be so special. My family is going to be so excited for this one, which means a lot to me, but I think the consumers are going to lose their minds. This is the perfect solution for them."

Through the creative process, Adzick worked with several female executives from throughout the Eagles organization, both on the business side and in football operations, several of whom are working moms just like her. Before working with the team, Adzick had no idea how many women played a critical role in the fans' gameday experience.

Earlier this summer, the Eagles hosted Adzick for a promotional photo shoot at the Jefferson Health Training Complex featuring several women from the Eagles organization, including Eagles Autism Foundation Executive Director Ryan Hammond, who was already an Addison Bay advocate.

"Addison Bay's commitment to quality and style, along with its consumer-first approach to experiential retail, has established the brand as an emerging fashion line in Philadelphia and beyond," said Emily McNichol, Vice President of Merchandise for the Eagles. "We are thrilled to partner with Marguerite and her team of innovative designers on this iconic collection that will showcase our female demographic's personal style. This exclusive line will bring our fans together in a creative way this season, enabling them to express their passion with a bold and fashionable touch."

"This collaboration gives us an opportunity to bring together sports, fashion, and lifestyle, while creating content specifically with that audience in mind," said Sarah Zangrilli, Vice President of Digital Strategy for the Eagles. "From a digital and social perspective, we thought featuring women from across our organization would make the storytelling even more meaningful – real women who are balancing careers, families, and so much more. That authenticity is what we want our fans to feel when they experience the campaign across our digital channels."

"I hit it off with Emily and Sarah because they're both working moms and we're all hustling and trying our best and we can totally relate on so many levels, both personally and professionally," Adzick said. "All the women I met were so badass and amazing. I love the dichotomy of how these women got it together and their looks are so well put together, but they're smart and know what they're doing and are amazing both personally and professionally."

Eight years after a life-changing decision, Adzick has built a powerhouse fashion brand while staying focused on family, prioritizing time to be present with her husband and now four children. She didn't want to tell her kids to reach for the stars if she wasn't willing to make the leap herself.

"They definitely have a respect for their mom who hustles," Adzick said. "My kids are definitely starting to connect the dots that if you work hard, you will have success."
