A Look At The Eagles' Two-Minute Offense In 2009

Here is the week-by-week look at the Eagles' performance in the final two minutes of either half in 2009. According to Stats Inc., the Eagles had 25 possessions and scored 49 points which was the highest total in the league.

Week 1 at Carolina

2nd Quarter - Ended with Sav Rocca punt. Donovan McNabb was 2-of-4 for 14 yards and also had a 15-yard scramble. Kevin Curtis had an 11-yard reception.

4th Quarter - Kevin Kolb took a knee to run out the clock.

Week 2 vs. New Orleans

2nd Quarter - Ended with David Akers' 32-yard field goal to end the half. Kolb was 4-of-7 for 65 yards. Jason Avant had a 26-yard grab and Curtis added two catches for 28 yards.

4th Quarter - The Eagles got the ball twice and Kolb forced passes each time that were intercepted as the game was out of reach.

Week 3 vs. Kansas City

2nd Quarter - Ended with Akers' 29-yard field goal with 31 seconds left. Drive began with 6:15 remaining in half. Kolb converted a third-and-9 with a 13-yard pass to Brent Celek. A face mask penalty by Kansas City on another third down helped keep the drive alive.

4th Quarter - Jeff Garcia came in at quarterback to help run out the clock.

Week 5 vs. Tampa Bay

2nd Quarter - After a McNabb scramble for 17 yards, he connected with Jeremy Maclin on a 40-yard touchdown pass for a quick two-play score.

4th Quarter - Michael Vick helped run out the clock.

Week 6 at Oakland

2nd Quarter - Three of the team's six points came in the final two minutes in the first half. McNabb was 3-of-3 for 21 yards including a 14-yard catch by Celek to set up Akers for a 43-yard field goal with 6 seconds left in the half.

Week 7 at Washington

2nd Quarter - On the first play after the two-minute warning, McNabb hit DeSean Jackson for a 57-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a 27-7 lead.

4th Quarter - Up 10, the Eagles run out the clock.

Week 8 vs. Giants

2nd Quarter - Two opportunities. Two touchdowns in just three plays. McNabb tosses a 54-yard strike to Jackson and then hits Maclin for a 23-yard score. In all, McNabb was 3-of-3 for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

4th Quarter - Up 40-17, Eagles run off some clock before punting.

Week 9 vs. Dallas

2nd Quarter - Most of the damage is done before the two-minute warning, but the Eagles tack on three points with an Akers' 48-yard field goal after a 12-play, 54-yard drive.

Week 10 at San Diego

2nd Quarter - Eagles settle for Akers' chip-shot 25-yarder with 8 seconds left. McNabb was 4-of-6 for 44 yards in the final two minutes. In all, the Eagles marched 87 yards in 14 plays on the drive.

4th Quarter - After overcoming a huge deficit, the Eagles got the ball at their own 34 with 30 seconds left trailing by eight. McNabb completed two passes to get to the San Diego 34-yard line before a last-second heave into the end zone was intercepted to end the game.

Week 11 at Chicago

2nd Quarter - With just 13 seconds left, Eagles run one play and let the clock expire.

4th Quarter - Eagles got the ball after a Sean Jones interception with 45 seconds left and ran out the clock to end the game.

Week 12 vs. Washington

2nd Quarter - The Eagles got the ball twice in great field position thanks to a pair of Asante Samuel interceptions. The Eagles capitalized by scoring six points to turn a 14-10 deficit into a 16-14 halftime edge. Akers hit from 24 yards out and 41 yards out.

4th Quarter - Marching 66 yards in 10 plays, the Eagles' drive that began with 5:35 remaining ended with 1:48 to go in the game as Akers' game-winning 32-yard field goal sailed through the uprights. LeSean McCoy carried the bulk of the duty, although the big play was a 35-yard pass from McNabb to Maclin. The Eagles did get the ball one final time to run out the clock.

Week 13 at Atlanta

2nd Quarter - McNabb ran for 1 yard to run out the clock.

Week 14 at Giants

2nd Quarter - The Eagles execute an 8-play, 70-yard drive all within the final two minutes which culminated with a 1-yard touchdown run by Michael Vick. McNabb was 3-of-6 for 79 yards, including a 44-yard strike to Jackson.

4th Quarter - The Eagles tried to run out the clock, but the Giants had one last opportunity before Eli Manning fumbled the ball away. McNabb took a knee following the fumble to end the game.

Week 15 vs. San Francisco

2nd Quarter - The Eagles got in striking distance after a 39-yard pass from McNabb to Jackson, but Shawntae Spencer picked off McNabb in the end zone. However, the 49ers gave the ball right back and after a 21-yard pass from McNabb to Avant, Akers hit a 26-yard field goal with 2 seconds left.

4th Quarter - Up by 14, the Eagles run out the final 3:45.

Week 16 vs. Denver

2nd Quarter - The Eagles used a 12-play, 49-yard drive that lasted a total of 6:33 to tack on an Akers field goal with 26 seconds left.

4th Quarter - With the game tied at 27-27, McNabb connected with Maclin on a 27-yard pass to put the Eagles in field goal range. With just 4 seconds left, Akers put the game-winner up and through from 28 yards out for the 30-27 victory.

Week 17 at Dallas

2nd Quarter - McNabb was 5-of-7 44 yards, but time runs out before the Eagles can get in position for at least a field goal attempt.

4th Quarter - After the two-minute warning, McNabb threw three straight incomplete passes to end the Eagles' chances of getting on the board.
