1. THE BLACK HOLE MEETS EAGLES FANS

Those who have played in Oakland understand what waits for the Eagles today: A mass of dedicated, loving Raiders fans who, uh, aren't afraid to express themselves.

The truth is, though, that the Eagles fans are planning to go toe to toe with Raiders fans on this day. As usual, the Eagles expect a large contingent of fans to make the trip to Oakland to cheer Philadelphia. Road trips mean great sport from Eagles fans throughout the country.

4. RAIDERS PREPARING FOR A FAST-PACED OFFENSE

Oakland has spent a good amount of time during the week preparing for the Chip Kelly offensive scheme, and particularly the fast tempo at which the Eagles want to play.

"Yeah, they're pretty fast. They may be the fastest we may have seen as far as getting on the ball and running plays," said head coach Dennis Allen. "That's part of what the philosophy of that offense is to get on the ball and run plays and try to get the defense in a situation where they're not aligned properly, they're not focused on what their keys are; they're just trying to get back to the line of scrimmage and get lined up. That's something that we've practiced a lot this week."

5. TRAVEL PLANS: A CHANGE FROM THE PAST

The Eagles are treating their West Coast travel differently than when Andy Reid was the head coach. Then, the Eagles left on Friday for a West Coast game. For this game, the Eagles departed Philadelphia late on Saturday morning and expect to keep their bodies and minds on East Coast time for this 4:05 p.m. (EST) kickoff.

"The kick for us is at 4:00. That's kind of how our approach is to it," said Kelly."So our day is set up for a 4:00 kick, so you just kind of add the three. So the biggest difficulty is if you're east coming west, when you have a 1:00 kick, that's a 10:00 kick, so then your day gets off a little bit.

But the effects from everything we've talked about, really you're not going to change anything from a time zone difference on one day. It's a 'go play.' The fortunate thing for us is we don't have to play early. We're playing a little bit later. We adjust our schedule accordingly.
