Biography
Community Involvement:
I am a civic-minded person and seek to continually serve the community to the best of my abilities. In the past, I have had the honor of serving the community in a variety of roles from mentoring middle school students with their history day projects to partnering with organizations to execute school supply drives and holiday package donations. One of the most impactful experiences for me personally was when I volunteered as a princess at the Children's Hospital in Denver. With each child I visited my heart was touched by their spirit, determination, and joy for life. I am honored I was provided the chance to spend time with so many brave little warriors.
Favorite Appearance and Why: One of my favorite appearances was the Special Olympics Unified Fall Torch Run where we met the incredible 99-year-old World War II veteran, Roland. Honoring and serving our country is something that means a lot to me and my family. Both of my grandfathers served in the Navy during WWII and though they're no longer with us, having the opportunity to connect with another spectacular gentleman of their era meant so much to me. Roland shared with me that men in the Navy once saved his life and my maternal grandfather was the same age as Roland.
