Philadelphia Eagles

Community Involvement:

I am a civic-minded person and seek to continually serve the community to the best of my abilities. In the past, I have had the honor of serving the community in a variety of roles from mentoring middle school students with their history day projects to partnering with organizations to execute school supply drives and holiday package donations. One of the most impactful experiences for me personally was when I volunteered as a princess at the Children's Hospital in Denver. With each child I visited my heart was touched by their spirit, determination, and joy for life. I am honored I was provided the chance to spend time with so many brave little warriors.

Favorite Appearance and Why: This past season, I had the honor of joining the Philadelphia Eagles Women in Leadership panel where we shared our stories and experiences with 100 female high school students. The Eagles empower us to empower others and, as a women's historian, this was an immensely impactful experience for me to connect with so many incredible young women.

Personal Time:

In my personal time, I love to travel and read. I greatly enjoy exploring the world and experiencing other cultures. In graduate school I earned a certificate in historic preservation and one of my favorite things to do when I travel is to visit as many historic buildings and sites as possible to see how other places have preserved their structures and how they present their local history. I've visited 26 countries across 4 continents so far and I've been to 4 of the 7 new wonders of the world. One of my life goals is to visit all 7!

You May Not Know:

I auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance! Clips of my solo were included in the Los Angeles audition episodes and my introduction was one of their featured commercials for season 10. I also filmed a pilot for an MTV dance competition reality series.

Just Have to Share:

I specialize in American women's history! My research focuses heavily on late 19th and early 20th-century American women as they asserted their power through their maintenance of cultural capital and aided in defining American culture while ushering in the modern era in the United States. I find it important to study those driving forces; the women who were critical agents of change. Women have frequently been written out of the narrative, misrepresented, or have ended up as merely a chapter or a footnote in American history. One of my career goals is to aid in bringing these women and their stories back into the limelight. I hope to take part in restoring these women to their rightful place in the context of American history. They were critical figures in the development of American culture and bringing their stories to the forefront will enhance the existing narrative.
