Wake-Up Call: Why The Eagles Will Win The Super Bowl

The Eagles are back on the practice fields for a light 10-10-10 workout which will last around two hours beginning at 9:15 a.m. Following practice at around 11 a.m., head coach Doug Pederson and quarterback Carson Wentz will address the media for the final time ahead of Thursday's preseason home opener against the Buffalo Bills. Here's a look at what you need to know for Tuesday, August 15.

1. Nick Foles Returns

Wentz started all 16 games last season, and hopefully the only time he'll miss in 2017 is when another quarterback has to run out the clock.

Nick Foles is expected to be that guy, so it was a welcome sight Monday when he returned to practice for the first time all month due to an elbow injury.

"I feel very good. It was good to be back at practice. We're easing into it. A little bit today, a little more tomorrow," Foles said.

Foles will not play Thursday against the Bills. He plans on being 100 percent all the way back for next week's joint practices with the Miami Dolphins. He participated in individual and 7-on-7 drills. The velocity appeared to be there on a red zone throw between two defenders intended for rookie Mack Hollins that did fall incomplete.

Inflammation in the throwing elbow first appeared last season, Foles said. He now undergoes an intense warm-up session before practice and gets treatment first thing off the field. It's something that he thinks will allow him to be pain-free for the rest of his career.

"It's 100 percent healed. Before there were things that were lingering, it just wasn't going to get better. Guys have done a great job in the training room, just continuing to help me rehab this," Foles said. "I always try to take something out of everything, so that's what I took out of this experience."
