At the end of the third quarter, it remains a shutout on both sides as the Eagles and Cowboys are tied 0-0.

On the opening drive, the offense went for it on fourth-and-7 at the Dallas 39 but quarterback Nick Foles' pass attempt to wide receiver Torrey Smith fell incomplete. The Eagles defense responded with a fourth-down stop, shutting down Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for a 2-yard loss on fourth-and-1.

With under five minutes remaining in the first quarter, Foles had his pass intended for wide receiver Alshon Jeffery intercepted by cornerback Chidobe Awuzie at the Dallas 48 yard-line.

Quarterback Nate Sudfeld checked into the game in the second quarter replacing Foles and completed his first NFL completion to wide receiver Nelson Agholor on a 4-yard pickup. He later completed a 17-yard pass on third-and-13 but the play was brought back due to a holding penalty on the offense.

The Cowboys will start the fourth quarter with the ball at their own 37.
