Stefen Wisniewski Says He's Good To Go

In his seventh NFL season and first on a winning team, much less a playoff-bound team, guard Stefen Wisniewski wasn't going to let a little thing like a sprained ankle dampen his season-long parade. After missing two games with the ankle injury, Wisniewski is healthy and ready to play Sunday should he be called upon as the Eagles wrap up the regular season by hosting the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.

Wisniewski started 10 games at left guard before suffering the injury in Los Angeles in the win over the Rams and he was replaced by Chance Warmack in the wins over New York and Oakland. But after two weeks of rehab, Wisniewski has been a full participant in practice for all of this week and says he is all the way back from the injury.

"I'm a football player and I want to be out there for every game. It was hard to watch, but it was great that we won both games and the offense played well without me," he said. "I'm good to go now. I'm feeling good, rehabbing hard. The training staff has done a good job. I'm feeling confident that I should be good."

Wisniewski said he should be able to knock off any rust within a half of action on Sunday and then turn his attention toward the postseason. This will be his first trip into the hallowed land of the NFL playoffs after losing seasons in Oakland and Jacksonville, and then last season with the Eagles.

"This has been a really fun season and the fact that we have a real legitimate shot of making it to the Super Bowl is really exciting," Wisniewski said. "It's new territory for me but I've talked to some other guys and I feel like I'm mentally ready for it. We're still just playing football. The stakes are a little higher, but we're not going to think about that. I'm just going to focus on every play and doing the best I can."
