The Eagles and Jets took the field at Lincoln Financial Field for their preseason finale on Thursday night. The Birds finished on top, winning the game by a final score of 14-6 to go undefeated in the preseason. Read more about the highlights from the game ...

Paul Turner Came To Impress

On the Eagles' second drive of the night, the rookie free agent continued to improve his chances of earning a spot on the 53-man roster. Turner tallied two receptions, both of which resulted in major yardage for the Birds. He picked up 20 yards on his first catch and 17 yards on his second.

Turner also served as the team's punt returner throughout the night and his biggest play of the game came doing just that. With 2:51 remaining before halftime, the receiver caught the ball at the Philadelphia 29-yard line and returned it 71 yards for a touchdown. The points were the Eagles' first of the game.

Turner finished the game with six catches for 66 yards. Entering the game on the bubble, the receiver certainly made a case for himself throughout the game.

Reynolds Wrap

With the Jets on the Eagles' 11-yard line and 4:04 remaining in the third quarter, safety Ed Reynolds picked off quarterback Christian Hackenberg and took off for the Philadelphia end zone. He ran the ball back a total of 90 yards to give the Eagles' their second touchdown of the night, putting the Birds up 14-6.

DGB Gets Things Going

The first three drives of the game, two of which belonged to the Jets, all resulted in three-and-outs. Neither team could get things going on the offensive side of the ball until Dorial Green-Beckham was able to nab back-to-back first-down grabs. The first catch resulted in a 16-yard gain and the second moved the team another 15 yards down the field. Unfortunately, the drive was cut short when Chase Daniel threw an interception at New York's 4-yard line.

Eagles Allow Only One Jets TD

With 3:41 left on the clock in the first quarter, the Jets faced a third-and-5 from the Philadelphia 44. Quarterback Bryce Petty threw down the right sideline to Robby Anderson, who made the catch and beat cornerback JaCorey Shepherd for the touchdown. With six points on the board, New York attempted a two-point conversion but was not successful.

Turnovers Prove Costly

The Eagles' offense struggled with turnovers during the game, which resulted in a lack of scoring. Daniel finished the night with two interceptions, one of which came in the red zone. Then in the third quarter, McLeod Bethel-Thompson fumbled the ball after a 13-yard run, allowing the Jets to take over at their own 42. Running back Cedric O'Neal also had a pair of fumbles in the second half.

Injury Update

During the second quarter, tight end M.J. McFarland left the game with a knee injury. He did not return.

In their final preseason game, the Eagles faced off against the New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field and took him the 14-6 win.
