In a low-scoring affair, the Eagles fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 6-0. Both teams struggled offensively as it was the first time ever in the Cowboys-Eagles series that neither team scored in the game's opening three quarters.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Brice Butler connected for the game's only touchdown in the fourth quarter. With the loss, the Eagles drop to 13-3 overall, tying a regular-season franchise record.

On the opening drive, the offense went for it on fourth-and-7 at the Dallas 39 but quarterback Nick Foles' pass attempt to wide receiver Torrey Smith fell incomplete. The Eagles' defense responded with a fourth-down stop, shutting down Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for a 2-yard loss on fourth-and-1.

With under five minutes remaining in the first quarter, Foles had his pass intended for wide receiver Alshon Jeffery intercepted by cornerback Chidobe Awuzie at the Dallas 48 yard-line.

Quarterback Nate Sudfeld checked into the game replacing Foles and completed his first NFL pass to wide receiver Nelson Agholor. He later completed a 17-yard pass on third-and-13 but the play was brought back due to a holding penalty on the offense. Sudfeld finished his first career game with a line 18-of-22 for 128 passing yards.

The Cowboys ended the game's scoring drought with 12:19 remaining when Prescott found Butler for a 20-yard touchdown on a slant route. Kicker Dan Bailey missed the extra point attempt leaving the game 6-0 in Dallas' favor.

Bailey also missed a chip-shot field goal late, giving the Eagles one more chance. However, a last-gasp lateral attempt yielded nothing, allowing Dallas to come away with the victory.

The Eagles will have a bye week during the NFC's Wild Card round, and will await that weekend's results to find out which team they'll be hosting during the Divisional Round.
