"Today's announcement of the official match dates at Lincoln Financial Field is another milestone for Philadelphia in this run up to the 2026 World Cup," said Don Smolenski, Philadelphia Eagles President, on Sunday. "Our excitement grows as we continue our preparations alongside the Philadelphia Soccer 2026 Committee, FIFA, and the Philadelphia community."
Here are the dates for all six games:
Group Stage

- June 19
- June 22
- June 25
- June 27
Knockout Stage/Round of 16
- July 4
The highlight of FIFA's 2026 World Cup announcement is the July 4 match at Lincoln Financial Field. That date marks the United States' Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. In 1776, the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, and in 2026, two of the world's best national soccer teams will square off in Philadelphia to celebrate America's independence on the sport's biggest stage.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup signifies an exciting expansion of the global competition, adding 16 nations and 40 more games that will be played in three different countries. Fans will learn what national teams will be playing in Philadelphia during the World Cup draw expected to take place in late 2025 or early 2026.
