With the full team present and accounted for, the Eagles will hold a 3:30 p.m. practice today that is closed to the public. The players wear helmets and shorts, with "shells,' soft shoulder pads, under their jerseys. There is some contact, of course, but no tackling.
It is expected that three players -- offensive linemen Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson, as well as defensive end Victor Abiamiri -- will officially be placed on the Physically Unable To Perform list until they are ready to practice. When that is, nobody knows for sure, but Herremans seems closest as the Eagles prepare him for the regular season and try to avoid the daily pounding on a sensitive foot that training camp brings. Jackson is said to be ahead of schedule rehabbing his torn ACL and Abiamiri continues to make progress recovering from microfracture knee surgery.
First-round draft pick Brandon Graham will practice this afternoon after signing his five-year contract earlier today upon his arrival in the area. Graham agreed to terms on the contract on Thursday night.
Today's work is open to the media, so PhiladelphiaEagles.com will have video of the practice posted shortly after the practice is over. Stay tuned.
Tomorrow, the team practices in full pads and there will be periods of live tackling and those highly-anticipated practices are open to the public. Practice times on Saturday are 8:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. at the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. The practices are free of charge.
