The start of free agency grabbed most of the headlines around the NFL on Tuesday, but a draft rumor about the Eagles did surface.
According to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com, Texas A & M wide receiver Mike Evans has scheduled a visit with the Eagles. At 6-foot-5, 231 pounds, Evans physical ability makes him one of the top receiving prospects in this year's draft. In his past two seasons, Evans has racked up a remarkable 2,499 receiving yards.
According to Goodbread's report, Evans, who ran a 4.53 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, has already met with the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots, and is also scheduled to meet with the Detroit Lions.
