Per Bowen's report, the Eagles were one of the first two teams to inquire about Winston's availability after his release this week. The Texans were reportedly the other team.
On Friday, NFL Network's Albert Breer reported that three teams are interested in Winston's services. Breer added that Winston could sign with a team Friday, before the start of free agency at midnight on Saturday. Because Winston was released, he is able to sign with a team at any time.
The Chiefs released Winston, 29, after one year in Kansas City. The 6-7, 302-pound lineman was drafted by the Texans in the third round of the 2006 draft. He has not missed a start since becoming a full-time starter in 2007.
