QB Michael Vick
On how much he'll focus on protecting the ball against the Giants: "Ball security is going to be very important. It's something that we're definitely going to have to be in control of. Not let [turnovers] happen, prevent at all costs. We just have to protect the ball. The team that doesn't turn the ball over the most, almost 95-percent of the time in this league, wins the game."
On whether he expects the Giants defense to take the same approach as they did in the first meeting between the two teams: "Well, if you watch the film, they came at us, they did some good things. But we also could've had some opportunities to really hurt them, had a couple of dropped balls in the end zone, a couple potential touchdowns. So, I think if we hit those plays then they stop doing what they were doing, but I don't think they expect them to change anything. Maybe, maybe not. You've just got to be prepared for whatever you're going to get in this league."
On whether it will be hard to temper his excitement since he has not played in a game of this magnitude in a long time:"No, it won't be hard. We're playing on the road, it's a tough environment. We just come to play. At the end of the day, we just come to play. It's going to be a fun football game. This is what it's all about. All the great ones have to go through it, so we're not going through anything different."
WR DeSean Jackson
On being listed as questionable and whether he had any setback from yesterday to today: "It's still day by day. The biggest thing I say is, I can't let my troops go out there and go to war without me. At the end of the day, I've still got two days to get ready, so I should be fine. Practice today, I did some things. It felt pretty good. I've still got two days, so we'll see how it goes."
On whether he did more in practice today than yesterday: "Yeah, I did a lot more today than yesterday."
On whether he has to think about the bigger picture and being healthy for the long run: "Of course. I don't think it's that serious, though, for anything to hold me out for the long run. So we should be good, good and smooth."
On how close to full speed he'll be on Sunday: "I should be right there, pretty close. I should be alright."
On whether he would sit out if it was not such a big game: "No, I'm not into sitting games out if it's not serious. Getting a concussion is obviously very serious, but a foot injury is not really too serious, like a head injury. So I should be alright."
CB Asante Samuel
On how he feels after going through a full practice today: "I feel pretty good, excited, but I'm taking it one day at a time."
On measuring his improvement over the course of the week: "Like I said from the beginning, each day I wake up and it's a better day. Every day feels better, so I'm just looking forward to tomorrow and the next day. I felt good, though."
On how close he is to being over the injury: "I don't know, man. Like anybody else in the NFL, nobody is 100 percent. You just have to deal with what problems you have and overcome them."
On whether it gets more frustrating as the days go on:"Yeah, not being out there and being able to perform and practice and play with the confidence that you normally would have. Yeah, it gets a little frustrating, but I'm making good strides."
On whether he's still in a stage where he's lacking some confidence: "If I step out on that field, man, I can't afford to lack confidence. If you see me on the field, no lack (of confidence)."
C Mike McGlynn
On the matchup with the Giants this week: "It's a big divisional game and it could be for the NFC East, so I think we're excited for the opportunity."
On whether this is the moment that he dreams about:"Yeah, just in general, it's something that you think about growing up. Playing these games, you watch them; they're NFC East games and all that. It's exciting."
On whether he would be surprised if the Giants attacked them any differently than from the last time both teams met up:"No, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm sure they're going to throw everything at us – the kitchen sink. We just have to be ready to make our adjustments and take everything in stride."
On whether the Giants have made many personnel changes since the last matchup: "I mean, they have different packages and I'm sure they'll do something different for us. We're just anticipating anything. Once the game comes, we'll have some tricks and they'll have some tricks."
