Herremans Leaves Injured

NEW ORLEANS -- A beleaguered Eagles offensive line looks to have lost another starter, at least temporarily, as right tackle Todd Herremans left in the second quarter against the New Orleans Saints with an ankle/foot injury. Herremans was carted off to receive x-rays and is doubtful to return.

In Herremans' absence, Demetress Bell was inserted at right tackle for the Eagles. The Eagles, of course, have already lost left tackle Jason Peters and center Jason Kelce for the season, while right guard Danny Watkins is inactive with a ankle injury. That leaves left guard Evan Mathis as the lone remaining projected starter on the offensive line.

Update: Herremans did not return. Head coach Andy Reid said following the game that Herremans incurred an ankle tendon strain and will have an MRI on Monday.
