Eagles Locker Room
RG Max Jean-Gilles
On the last few offensive plays of the game:"We just didn't get it done. We came up short once again. It's on us."
On the disappointment in the locker room after the game:"It's been our curse the entire season. We are just going to live by it and then we are going to go to work tomorrow, see what happened on film and then move on."
On whether it seemed like things were going in their favor before the last two plays:"They just made some great plays. You have to give credit to them. We didn't execute and we came up short just by inches again. Credit the Giants, they just outplayed us."
WR DeSean Jackson
On not being able to get a yard on 4th down:"We go out there, play hard and leave it on the line and things happen."
On the disappointment in the locker room after the game:"It's always disappointing when you lose. We just have to go back to the film room, correct our mistakes and just keep coming, keep fighting."
On how long the offense has practiced the "wildcat" formation that he scored a touchdown on in the 1st quarter:"We have been doing a lot of things. There are a lot of things that we have in there. It doesn't always show, but we have a lot of things there."
On the tough road ahead after starting 0-3 in the division:"It's definitely not good at all, but we still have hope. We believe in ourselves and we are going to keep doing what we need to do."
On the play of QB Donovan McNabb and what helped turn it around after a slow start:"Like I said, we still have hope. We know they are the defending champs and they are a great team, but we didn't want to turn the ball over. We didn't want to do things like that. We gave them a few opportunities and we turned the ball over. They turned the ball over too, so it worked both ways, but we just were not able to get it done."
LG Todd Herremans
On where this loss leaves the team:"Hungry, we still have a lot of games left. We just have to go out there and win the next one, then the next one, the next one and then the next one. That is where it leaves us. We are 5-4 and we have to win."
On whether it is tough to establish an offensive rhythm when you don't have the ball that often throughout the game:"We have to make the plays that are called work. There are no excuses. We can't say we weren't in a rhythm. We have to make the plays that they call work and we didn't."
On why he thinks the offense has started slow the past 3 games:"I don't know. We just have to go out there with the mindset that we are going to dominate from the get go."
On how tough it was to watch the beginning of the game from the bench:"It was terrible, absolutely terrible. I had the sickest feeling in my stomach the first 2 series."
On why he didn't start:"That is between me and (head coach) Andy (Reid)."
WR Jason Avant
On the tough loss:"We were close and didn't win it tonight. We didn't play our best game and they came out and moved the ball pretty well. It was just a hard loss. Hopefully we will refocus and come out next week and play hard."
On why he thinks the offense has been inconsistent this year:"It is something we need to get corrected. Sometimes it's a lot of things. It could be a sack one time, could be a missed block or dropped ball, anything. Those things kill drives. The fewer mistakes that you make, the better offense you are. We have made a lot of mistakes, but sometimes we don't and we can move the ball. But, those little, nagging missed assignments are killing us."
On whether he is surprised the team is plagued by mistakes this late in the season:"Some of those things are based on who you play. Some things are based on schemes. Sometimes they have a better play call and sometimes things just don't work out. But we are striving to get better and hopefully we can get this thing right enough and make a run at it."
