Game Vs. Cardinals: QB Michael Vick

On whether it hurt to not to have WR DeSean Jackson on the field: "Anytime you have one of your premier players, one of your go-to guys, it does, yeah it does. But we have to respect the decisions that are made. We wish it never had to come to that, but it is what it is and you still have to go out and win the football game."

On whether he's disappointed in Jackson: "I think DeSean and I, we have a special relationship and we talk all the time and sometimes you have situations where you have to just live and learn from these types of experiences.  Regardless of the consequences of what happened or the decisions that were made, you know we all have to live with them -- myself, coach [Andy Reid], DeSean -- and just figure out ways to make it right. I think DeSean will do that and coach will and we'll all move forward.  We won't focus on that.  That had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. We just have to finish as a team."

On whether he thought Jackson's punishment was Reid's way of sending a message to the team: "Well, coach has always been a no-nonsense guy since I've been here. Since I've known him.  If it was anybody else aside from DeSean, it would have been the same punishment.  It was not because it was just him.  So I think there's certain things that are tolerated and there's certain things that are not.  It's just a situation where coach had to make a decision and he felt how he felt and I think DeSean respected it and there weren't any hard feelings and that's the end.  I think he'll learn from it and move on."

On the offense not getting in sync today: "I give a lot of credit to the Arizona Cardinals.  They played a great game.  They had a good plan and we were never able to get into a rhythm, move that ball downfield consistently and kept our defense on the field for a long time, which is unfortunate.  I think those are things that we just can't do. So there has to be a balance and we have to figure out the answers to why it happened."

On whether Arizona changed anything because Jackson wasn't playing: "Well I think anytime a team sees that you don't have one of your best players on the field, they can change their strategy and their game plan in an instant.  They're smart professional players and good ones at that so they were to make adjustments and made it tough for us. But I still think we had our share of opportunities to put points on the board."

On the problems he is facing on the field: "I was inaccurate today and never really got comfortable. I'm very hard on myself and that just can't happen. You have to find ways to get it done. I didn't do it and I just have to figure out a way to get it done next time we're in the situation."

On Arizona's scheme leaving the Eagles with a free blocker: "Maybe it was part of their scheme. Like I said, I'll have to go back to watch the film and see what was done, what happened and what we could have done to protect if that was the case but I think for the most part the line did a great job and gave me enough time to see down field."

On whether they needed more balance between running and passing the ball: "It's always helpful when you balance out the run and the pass. We make a living on throwing the football and we just can't change our strategy right then and there in the moment. I think [RB] LeSean [McCoy] got his fair share of touches and that will continue to increase. Our coaches will find ways to put us in better positions. I know that. We're very confident in them."

On whether the absence of DeSean Jackson kept him from feeling comfortable: "Honestly, it was tough. Playing with a guy you go to war with each and every week and you believe in, have confidence in and him not being there, it was a blow for everybody, not just me. We're used to him being in the huddle. We count on him and we depend on him. Hopefully, he'll see that and understand that. I think that decision was just an accountability statement so hopefully he'll learn from it, mature a little bit and grow up. I know he will because I know him. We'll keep going."

On how the team can keep from falling apart the rest of the way: "Every game is not the same. We still have opportunities. Lord willing, maybe we can end up 10-6. Who knows? Nobody believes it but us. I think that's the most important thing. We just have to find ways to get it done. We can't perform like we performed today. If so, it will be a rough set of games."
