HOUSTON – The tone of the Week 9 tilt between the Eagles and Texans changed over the course of five plays that creates a 10-point swing in the direction of the visitors.
After Texans kicker Randy Bullock pulled a 39-yard field goal wide left, the Eagles immediately ran down the throat of the Texans defense, rushing four times for 70 yards and a touchdown on a drive that spanned only 1:24 on the game clock.
LeSean McCoy took the initial handoff for a 14-yard gain, which he followed up with a gain of 26 yards. Chris Polk then tagged in and took a handoff around the right edge for a 22-yard gain. He took the next play into the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles a 24-14 lead.
The Eagles defense would force another punt, only for Mark Sanchez, in for the injured Nick Foles, to throw his second interception of the day, both of them by cornerback Jumal Rolle.
