The Philadelphia Eagles were recognized by the Philly Ad Club in its annual list of ADDY® Award Winners for 2012.
The team won four awards based on competition in Philadelphia, Delaware and South Jersey, headlined by the Best of TV award for a 60-second spot that captured the Eagles' "Heart" campaign in 2011.
"It's a great honor for us to be recognized by such a respected organization," said Tim McDermott, the Eagles' Chief Marketing Officer. "We wanted to capture the unique passion, love, and dedication the fans have always had for the Eagles and convey that in our messaging throughout the season."
In addition to winning the Best of TV, the Eagles also won gold for Local Campaign and Local 60-second spot. They also earned a silver Addy for "Generations," in the 30-second spot category.
The ADDY® Awards is the industry's largest and most comprehensive competition for creative excellence, with over 50,000 entries submitted annually. The ADDY® Awards is unique among other advertising creative competitions. It is the only competition that includes three levels of judging: local, regional, and national. Winning at each level qualifies the work to progress to the next higher level. All local Gold and Silver award recipients will go on to compete at one of the 14 district competitions and those winners will advance to compete for a national ADDY® Award.
