The Eagles announced that they activated safety Andrew Adams from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. The team also waived/injured defensive back Nate Meadors.
Adams is entering his sixth year in the NFL. This is his first season in Philadelphia.
The 28-year-old spent his last three years in Tampa Bay, where he was an asset on special teams during the Buccaneers' Super Bowl LV-winning season. Adams had a lot of success with the Buccaneers. In 2020, he played in all 16 regular-season games and was on the field for the fourth-most special teams snaps. Adams became the third player in Tampa Bay history (fourth overall in NFL history) to have three interceptions in a single game.
Adams signed with the New York Giants in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He agreed to terms with Philadelphia as a free agent during the 2021 offseason.
