The Good: Solid cover cornerback who will also help a team as a punt returner. Physical, mixes it up with receivers and sells out on the blitz. Fluid pedaling in reverse, shows a nice burst of speed, and quickly breaks to the ball from his plant. Plays with a nice degree of suddenness and flashes on the scene. Gets vertical, displays good hands for the interception, and makes a lot of athletic plays on the field. Terrific return specialist who sees the field and finds the openings.
The Bad: Slow getting his head back around to locate the pass and tends to do a bit of face guarding. May not possess the top end speed to stay downfield with opponents.
The Verdict: Wilson has been a solid cornerback for Boise State the past three years, and as a prospect, he is best suited in a zone system or backed off the line of scrimmage. He offers a good degree of upside and could eventually start for an NFL team, but his ability to produce returning punts will help him see action as a rookie.
